REAL WEDDINGS

They met during college orientation when they were both getting their masters. They were NOT love at first sight! He thought she seemed stuck up and she thought he looked like an angry gym rat. Despite first impressions, they quickly became study partners and their friendship grew during late nights at the library. After graduation they took the leap to being official followed by years of adventures and falling more in love. During a trip to Disneyland with his family, at some point they were left alone just sitting and looking at the view. He asked someone to take a picture of them and after one photo he got down on one knee and proposed! Turns out the photographer was a professional and both their families (hers had secretly driven down) were there and started cheering. They got married a year later, August 2022,  surrounded by people they love. 

The day was special, not only because it was beautiful and they got to marry their best friend, but because Amanda’s dad, who married them and danced with Amanda that day, would unexpectedly pass a few short months later. 

The memories and photos of that day are some of my most treasured possessions.
